Talkeetna Historic District

A 2 block by 3 block area of downtown Talkeetna was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 as a historic district.  At that time, there were 13 contributing buildings to the district offsetting the 13 newer buildings.  The district was formed to protect the mining and railroad era of 1916 to 1936.
